Tier Overview[]
Tier 2 is the second tier in CSR Classics and the first Tier to be manually unlocked by the player. Out of the 5 tiers, Tier 2 cars are generally slow. All cars barely reach over 100mph when maxed out, although this means that Tier 2 cars are faster than Tier 1 cars. Tier 2 has a mix of Sport Coupes and Muscle Cars, shared with the previous tier.
Tier 2 is significant in the game for many ways. As aformentioned, Tier 2 is the first Tier to be manually unlocked, compared to Tier 1, which is automatically unlocked at the start of the game. Also, when the player won against Marco in his first pink slip waging a Ford Thunderbird, the player can use it in early parts of Tier 2. Still, the player has to buy a new Tier 2 car at the midway in the game due to the weakness of the Thunderbird, and when doing so, the Agent won't help the player choose a good Tier 2 car, and the Race Official barely mentions a car; a Ford Escort RS1600, which is no more than a advertisement of that car, which may lead the player into confusion and the player may make a poor car choice, like the Mercedes-Benz 280 SL.
Tier 2 cars are generally cheap; cars don't cost more than $120000 and their upgrades doesn't exceed $700000, with the obvious exception of the Chevrolet Special Deluxe.
Tier 2 cars have a maximum rank of 350.

Trivia[]
- Although the game states that the player should beat Mr. Baledin to unlock the Restriction and Car Specific events, the car specific race, like in Tier 1, is unlocked when the player beat Mr. Shen. The reason for this is not known.
